While Daddy's Away The Girls Will Play

Daddy had a wonderful weekend in Ocean City with his brothers and sister. We had a wonderful girls weekend. We had a pizza and movie night on Friday. We started Saturday off with cooking up some eggs and a run around the Philomont playground. We spent most of Saturday afternoon at Uncle Derek's and Aunt Jen's house. Ellie loves to go over and play with her cousins, Kimmy and Kenzie. The girls had a great time playing on the swing set, scoring soccer goals on Uncle Derek and pulling out every toy in the playroom. Ellie had so much fun on Saturday that she fell asleep at 7 PM. We headed over to Uncle Scott's, Auntie Mel and Maddie's for brunch on Sunday. Maddie was so nice to share her scooter and bike with Ellie. After a short visit we headed off for our successful bean bag chair shopping at Target. Mommy learned one important thing over the weekend. Ellie does not like going through the car wash. She cried and started shaking when the spray wash started. It was so bad that Mommy had to leave in mid-cycle.
We missed Daddy very much and we are so happy that he is home. He missed us too and brought lots of gifts to show us how much he loves us. Poor Daddy was so excited to see Ellie but didn't share in his excitement. She only wanted to be with Mommy! She has finally warmed up to him again.
