Sunday by the Pool!

We spent most of our Sunday out at the pool. This has been a great summer for the pool. It could be that we have been having 90 plus degree days for weeks now. The pool is a nice refreshing way to cool off. Ellie loves to float around in her boat. I just bought her some water wings so we will see what she thinks of that. The best thing about swimming is that it does tire her out and then she takes a wonderful 2 hour nap which makes Mommy and Daddy very happy.

A Fun Day with Mommy and Daddy!

We went to Great Country Farms in Bluemont this weekend. Ellie loved going to see all the animals. She spent a lot of time running after this poor chicken. We tried to jump on the bounce balloon but it was to hot for Ellie's toes. She did let me hold her on the bounce balloon so Daddy could get a couple of pictures. Mommy and Ellie went for ride on the cow train. Ellie loved waving at everybody as we rode through the farm. We had a great time and hope to take her back a few more times this summer.

Pool Date!

Ellie enjoys her weekly swim play dates with Bennett, Evan, Tyler and Carson. She is wearing her smallest bikini to show off for the boys. Ellie loves to put on sun screen so hopefully she will stay wrinkle free. Most importantly, she has Chris's skin tone and tans beautifully! The pool was a little chilly yesterday so the kids spent all this time to get ready and ended up watching Finding Nemo inside. Hopefully next week the kids will be ready to swim again. We will probably have more pool pictures this weekend since Mommy doesn't have to work all weekend! I am sure we will find lots of fun things to do!

Ellie Loves to Cook!

Ellie has taken after Chris with her love of cooking. Whenever we start to cook she pulls her chair over and wants to help out. She is very focused on making her eggs in the video!

Enjoying the Pool

This is the first year that I have been happy to have a pool in my backyard. It could have something to do with the 90+ degree temperatures that we have been having but mostly it's because Ellie loves spending time in there. Aunt Mary brought up some very large pool floats that Ellie enjoys riding around on. We also starting have swim play dates at the house with the Franzen's and Chinn's. Poor Ellie is out numbered by the four boys, but I think she is learning how to rough house with the best of them.

Top Ten Things I Love About Daddy!

We were up at Uncle John and Aunt Kirsten's wedding over the Father's Day weekend and we didn't really get to celebrate Chris's special day. I am going to try and make up for it really quick.

1. Daddy always makes me laugh

2. Daddy loves to snuggle with me, but I have to remind him to shave so we can snuggle cheek to cheek.

3. Daddy plays music for me and we get to dance and sing together.

4. Daddy takes me for rides on the Rhino and lets me scream until I realize I'm having fun.

5. Daddy makes the best food- Mommy is a lucky woman to be married to a cook.

6. Daddy plays with me for hours in our pool.

7. Daddy is always willing to put me on his shoulders when I get to tired to walk.

8. Daddy chases me around the house and makes me laugh and scream until my belly hurts.

9. Daddy always kisses my boo's and makes them better!

10. Best of all is that he is my daddy and he's the best daddy in the world! I love you Daddy!

Summertime Haircut!

Ellie just got her haircut last week! Ellie's daycare provider Jolly was nice enough to cut her hair and it turned out great. Daddy was a little sad that her long locks are shorter but has admitted that she is still pretty cute!

It's hard to believe that she will be starting pre-school in the fall. Our baby girl is no longer a baby! She has grown into this independent little toddler. She is chatty and funny! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect little girl! She makes my heart melt every second of the day. The love I feel for her can't be put into any words that would truly express how much I love her!

Our Summer Vacation- Part 1

I know it's been awhile for the updates. Life always seems to get away from us. Things have slowed down a bit and that should mean a little more time to devote to Ellie's blog. We had a great summer vacation with my family. My parents treated the entire family to a vacation at the beach resort in Turks and Caicos. This is a great place to go if you have kids. They have a Seasme Street Theme and it kept the kids entertained. We owe a big thanks to Mom and Dad. We have tons of pictures to share. Ellie loved every second of the trip and was a trooper with the flying. She loves to talk and she talked about how the plane was going up and the plane was going down.
