We got our first snow of the season on Wednesday. It was just enough to make a little winter wonderland at our house. I really miss living in Atlanta when it snows here. I love the snow, but hate driving in it. Ellie didn't really get out to enjoy the snow and I'll admit that the pictures are from last year. Ellie was snug as a bug at Grandma and Papa's house for the snow. She looks so cute in her winter gear and the picture with Chris is one of my favorites.

Oh Christmas Tree!

We got Ellie her very own Christmas Tree this year. She did all the decorating herself. She loves her tree and takes everyone up to her room to show them. Mommy and Daddy will admit that the tree was our attempt to bribe her back to sleeping in her own room. She didn't fall for the plan and is still happliy sleeping with Mommy and Daddy!

The Innis's
Our Friends, The Innis's had two big birthdays last week. Maddie turned 3 and Auntie Mel turned xx(no need to remind her how old she is). The Innis's are more than just great friends to us, they are family. They were there when Ellie was born and we were there when they brought Maddie home from China. We are blessed to have met them. Hope Maddie and Auntie Mel had great birthdays!Ellie's Birthday Party!
Ellie, Maddie, Rocco and Kimmy loved the Dora cake.
Ellie got a wonderful kitchen set from Nana and Papa. She is a great chef of cheerios. Thank you for everyone that came and helped us celebrate the big day.

Trick or Treat!
Ellie and Maddie were naturals at the trick or treating. Auntie Mel was impressed how much candy those small hands can grab. Ellie did end up with more candy than Maddie, but Ellie always went back for a second handful. Maddie has the manners and Ellie is just like her father. The girls didn't like the scary mask kids running around the neighborhood. To bad they don't even know the real reason to be scared of a Michael Myers mask.
This is what a child looks like after you give her chocolate for the ride home. Scary! Thank you Auntie Mel, Uncle Scott and Maddie for sharing your neighborhood with us. We had a great time!
Happy Birthday Uncle Mike!!!
What I Did on My Summer Vacation- Part II
Ellie spent a lot of her summer time with family. She helped John and Kirsten celebrate their engagement at our annual pig roast. She met our cousins, Jennifer and Chris and their children. She had a wonderful time playing with them in the pool. We hope that they come back to visit next summer.

We had special visitors from Georgia. The Unterwagner Triplets came to Virginia for a visit. We had a wonderful time with them, but apparently I don't have any photos from the visit. I'll work on rounding a couple of photos up of their visit.
We will have one last post on her summer vacation later this week. Hope you are enjoying the blog.

How time flies!

Almost two years ago, I became a mom! It has been a wonderful experience. Ellie makes me feel more alive everyday. Seeing the world through your child's eyes is the best thing you can ever experience. As adults we become jaded and cynical about the world, but that all changed for me on November 16th.
Ellie was a great baby and has become a wonderful and very independent toddler. Almost to independent at times. Her poor dad, Chris hates that she is a toddler! I have to admit I have the same issue with it when she doesn't want to cuddle right before bed. I know that her independence will be a wonderful attribute for her, but I do miss the baby side of her.
I hope you enjoyed the quick opening post for this blog. I am hoping to be able to do this several times a week and let the friends and family enjoy it.
