First Snow of The Season

We got our first snow of the season on Wednesday. It was just enough to make a little winter wonderland at our house. I really miss living in Atlanta when it snows here. I love the snow, but hate driving in it. Ellie didn't really get out to enjoy the snow and I'll admit that the pictures are from last year. Ellie was snug as a bug at Grandma and Papa's house for the snow. She looks so cute in her winter gear and the picture with Chris is one of my favorites.

Happy Birthday Papa!

Happy Birthday Papa! Ellie loves her Papa! Ellie loves it when Papa takes her for rides in his truck to see the cows and horses. Ellie loves running around the house and having Papa chase her. We had a great time celebrating your birthday tonight with pizza and yummy cake.

Oh Christmas Tree!

We got Ellie her very own Christmas Tree this year. She did all the decorating herself. She loves her tree and takes everyone up to her room to show them. Mommy and Daddy will admit that the tree was our attempt to bribe her back to sleeping in her own room. She didn't fall for the plan and is still happliy sleeping with Mommy and Daddy!

The Innis's

Our Friends, The Innis's had two big birthdays last week. Maddie turned 3 and Auntie Mel turned xx(no need to remind her how old she is). The Innis's are more than just great friends to us, they are family. They were there when Ellie was born and we were there when they brought Maddie home from China. We are blessed to have met them. Hope Maddie and Auntie Mel had great birthdays!

Ellie's Birthday Party!

Ellie had a wonderful birthday party. She got tons of presents and now Mommy and Daddy have to figure out where to put all the new toys.

Aunt Mary got Ellie a princess tent that the kids loved. They spent most of the evening running in and out of it. We only had one mishap when Ellie and Maddie bumped heads! Nothing that a few kisses couldn't cure.

Ellie, Maddie, Rocco and Kimmy loved the Dora cake. Ellie got a wonderful kitchen set from Nana and Papa. She is a great chef of cheerios. Thank you for everyone that came and helped us celebrate the big day.

Ellie's First Train Ride

Finally-What I Did On My Summer Vacation Part 3

Chris and I have been busy with house projects and the website has been neglected.

The end of our summer came with a trip to Aunt Mary's house in Virginia Beach. We had a great time going to the beach. Ellie loved playing in the sand but hated the water. We took Ellie down to the amusement park on the boardwalk and she went on her first ride. She loved the train and was such a big girl to ride it all by herself. She even won herself prize at the side show games. We all had such a wonderful time and we loved Aunt Mary's house.

Happy Birthday Aunt Mary!

Happy Birthday Aunt Mary or Mimi as Ellie would say. Ellie loves when Aunt Mary comes to babysit. We can't wait to see you this weekend.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Joe!

Happy Birthday! Ellie loves her Grandpa. We had a wonderful time celebrating Grandpa's birthday last night. Ellie helped open all of Grandpa's presents. It's good practice for her birthday in two weeks. Uncle John and Aunt Kiki bought Ellie a big tweenty bird balloon and that she loved. She is running around the house with her balloon right now.

Trick or Treat!

Ellie and Maddie had a wonderful Halloween. Ellie was the cutest duck and Maddie was the prettiest princess in the neighborhood. The girls are always shy around eachother at first but by the end of the night they were best buddies again. Please excuse the bruise on Ellie's face, she fell off a chair on Saturday.

Ellie and Maddie were naturals at the trick or treating. Auntie Mel was impressed how much candy those small hands can grab. Ellie did end up with more candy than Maddie, but Ellie always went back for a second handful. Maddie has the manners and Ellie is just like her father. The girls didn't like the scary mask kids running around the neighborhood. To bad they don't even know the real reason to be scared of a Michael Myers mask.

This is what a child looks like after you give her chocolate for the ride home. Scary! Thank you Auntie Mel, Uncle Scott and Maddie for sharing your neighborhood with us. We had a great time!

Happy Birthday Uncle Mike!!!

Happy Birthday Uncle Mike! Ellie loves her Uncle Mike. She really loves that he will share sugar filled treats with her in the morning when he stays over. Ellie can't wait to help you celebrate your birthday this weekend.

What I Did on My Summer Vacation- Part II

Ellie enjoyed her first pony ride over the summer. The pony didn't seem to enjoy it as much as she did. I am sure Ellie will be getting a pony when she gets older. Hopefully, the pony will come with a nice stable hand to help care for it.

Ellie spent a lot of her summer time with family. She helped John and Kirsten celebrate their engagement at our annual pig roast. She met our cousins, Jennifer and Chris and their children. She had a wonderful time playing with them in the pool. We hope that they come back to visit next summer.

We had special visitors from Georgia. The Unterwagner Triplets came to Virginia for a visit. We had a wonderful time with them, but apparently I don't have any photos from the visit. I'll work on rounding a couple of photos up of their visit.

We will have one last post on her summer vacation later this week. Hope you are enjoying the blog.

Thank Goodness For Babysitters

We had a very busy week. I was in Chicago last weekend for a breast cancer fund raiser and Chris was out of town in the middle of the week for a business trip. The babysitters were a blessing. Without their help, Mommy and Daddy would of gone insane. Ellie loves all her babysitters. Thanks to Aunt Mary and Grandpa Joe for helping out while I was out of town. Thanks to Nana and Papa for helping out while Chris was out of town. We have a winner in the Halloween costume poll! Ellie is going to be a duck. We will take plenty of pictures of her trick or treating with her buddy Maddie on Wednesday.

What I Did On My Summer Vacation-Part 1

Ellie had a busy summer. She started off the summer with a trip to the zoo with her friend Maddie. They had a great time seeing the panda's and seals.
Ellie discovered that Great Country Farms was one of her favorite places to visit. She loves to feed the bunnies, cows and goats. Grandma took her there several times this summer. They have this slide that scares both my mommy and daddy, but Ellie makes us take her down it every time.
Ellie had her first sleep over with Maddie! The summer was great and Ellie had tons of fun swimming and playing with all my friends and family. Ellie can't wait for next summer when she gets to go to Turks and Caicos and hang out with all her Seasme Street friends.
I have to post her summer vacation in several postings. I am still new to the blogging! Bear with me as I learn!

Brushing Our Teeth

Ellie is great at brushing her teeth, but she has an issue with what she wears when she is brushing! Do you see anything wrong with this outfit? I'm sure that she picked up the socks up to the knees from her Uncle Mike.

Apple Picking We Will Go

Ellie loves to go for walks down to Aunt Jane's house. She loves to go and visit with Jane's two new kittens and most importantly have some apples. Jane has two wonderful apple trees that have been providing Ellie yummy treats for most of the summer. Ellie loves watching Jane pick the apples from the tree with an old time apple picker. Ellie washes her apple off and gives it to PAPA to cut up for her. We have been using these walks to wear her out, but so far she has managed to get rides on top of Daddy or Papa's shoulders. She has the men in her life trained!

1, 2, 3, 4, 5!

Ellie has been learning to count and she always forgets the number 4. Last night she started counting the kitchen cabinets and counted perfectly to the number 5. It's the most adorable thing ever!

Congrats to Eric, Denise and Emma on their newest addition to their family, Audrey Grace!

Ellie made the potty sing!

Chris and I went out of town for the weekend and Ellie showed Grandma what a big girl she was. She used her potty for the first time and made it sing! Yes, I got her a potty that would sing for her if she went! When we came home on Sunday, she showed us that she could make her potty sing! She is such a big girl! I'll post a picture of her and the singing potty later today!

How time flies!

I have been meaning to start this blog for a very long time. Actually I was suppose to start this blog after I saw my friend Whitney's blog. It's hard to imagine that she has time to blog with triplets, but she always has been an overachiever..

Almost two years ago, I became a mom! It has been a wonderful experience. Ellie makes me feel more alive everyday. Seeing the world through your child's eyes is the best thing you can ever experience. As adults we become jaded and cynical about the world, but that all changed for me on November 16th.

Ellie was a great baby and has become a wonderful and very independent toddler. Almost to independent at times. Her poor dad, Chris hates that she is a toddler! I have to admit I have the same issue with it when she doesn't want to cuddle right before bed. I know that her independence will be a wonderful attribute for her, but I do miss the baby side of her.

I hope you enjoyed the quick opening post for this blog. I am hoping to be able to do this several times a week and let the friends and family enjoy it.
